Development may include tallest residential building in western United States

Continuing its long history of leadership in site design and development of “icon” projects in metropolitan Los Angeles, Mollenhauer has begun working with Park Fifth Partners, Chris Dikeakos Architects and New York-based Kohn Pederson Fox Architects on a development slated to include the tallest residential building in the west of Chicago.
Park Fifth, scheduled to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2007, will include a 750-unit condominium development ranging up to 76 stories facing the north end of L.A.’s historic Pershing Square. The development will also include a five-star 40-story hotel, along with 14,000 square feet of shops, 18,000 square feet of restaurants, and six levels of underground parking with parking for up to 1,000 vehicles.
The development is sited on a parcel adjacent to the Title Guarantee Building at 411 West Fifth Street in downtown Los Angeles, a building which served as Mollenhauer’s headquarters for more than 70 years.
“We’re delighted to be on-board for this landmark development,” said Greg Hindson, President and CEO of Mollenhauer. “In some ways, it’s like coming full-circle for us, assisting in the creation of such an exciting development directly adjacent to our original home.”
Mollenhauer will be providing a broad range of services for the project, including boundary and topographical surveying, civil engineering, subdivision mapping and construction staking.
