Process 3D Surveying
Speed > Accuracy > Results
Frequently record or construction plans are relied upon to provide existing conditions information. More often than not these plans tend to be out of date and inaccurate. Previous projects have shown that provision of accurate as-built information helps reduce critical errors and therefore cost along the project lifecycle.
Laser scanning technology using both time-of-flight and phased based systems provides a rapid, non-contact, accurate method of 3D data capture. This data can be used simply for measurement verification using Leica’s Truview or information can be extracted from the point cloud by skilled operatives to create 2D plans and 3D models. At Mollenhauer we use a suite of point cloud processing software to generate the final product. We work directly with our clients to provide the best possible solution in terms of cost, level of detail and format.
How do we get from a point cloud to a 3D model?
The point cloud alone is not an intuitive product. The real skill comes in extracting the relevant information and correctly interpreting the data to create an accurate usable deliverable, which can be in both 3D and 2D formats. At Mollenhauer we use a suite of point cloud processing software to generate the final product. We work directly with our clients to provide the best possible solution in terms of cost, level of detail and format.
